summer ceremonial starts thursday!Nobles,
The Summer Ceremonial will be begin with our Stated Meeting THIS Thursday! We will open and tyle the meeting promptly at 7:30pm (no ladies for this part) so we can vote on our new candidates. As soon as we finish the vote, we will put the meeting at rest to receive the candidates and guests (ladies, family, etc) for the Initiation ceremony (AKA Sons of the Desert). Once the ceremony is complete, we will excuse the ladies and guests to the dining room and obligate our new nobles then open and continue with the meeting.
There is still time to bring in applications. In order to have an application ready for the Ceremonial, please fill out the attached form and drop it by the office as soon as possible and don’t forget to include your payment. You can also bring your payment and dues card Thursday night. Our only opportunity to vote on new members for this ceremonial will be at this stated meeting.
If you are planning on attending the Banquet on Saturday Night, PLEASE RSVP today! Cut off for RSVP's is midnight Thursday (Stated Meeting) so that we can have an accurate head count for the caterer. CLICK HERE TO RSVP
The Friday night event is simply a "welcome to the shrine" party and is a chance for new candidates to meet some of the members and learn some info about our many clubs and units. Come on out and enjoy some refreshments and fellowship. If you are attending, please bring a dish to share. This will also be a showcase of units/clubs. So, please make sure you have a representative (or two) on hand to talk about your unit or club.
Saturday is when the "fun" happens. Candidates arrive at 9am so we can start promptly at 10. Wear your shrine or unit/club uniform. Your lady is invited to attend the ladies luncheon where she will learn about what it means to be a shriners lady and enjoy a great lunch.
Tickets Available HERE.
After all the fun and learning, you will be invited to attend the Moslem Feast (burgers and brats) on the patio. The Ladies will join us around 1pm.
When the you've had as much fellowship as you can stand, you are dismissed to go home and get ready for the banquet at 6pm.
PLEASE RSVP TODAY!
If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. I'll be happy to help.

imperial hotel updateNobles,
As mentioned previously, Bahia is under contract for 20 rooms for the upcoming imperial session. Because we are under contract, we cannot just "cancel" the rooms. I've been working with the hotel as to our options as well as having other temples take our rooms. This is not panning out as well or as fast as we had hoped. I am going to ask our Temple Attorney, Noble Stumpy Harris to help us with this if at all possible.
For those of you that have booked other accommodations outside of Nashville and are planning to drive in for the day, I've been speaking with the hotel, people that live/have lived there and other vendors, they tell me that you will be in for a very rude awakening. The hotel we have chosen and others in the area are all priced reasonably close to each other and are as high as they are because they know it will be worth it. Parking is at an extreme premium if you can find it. Traffic in and out of Nashville is always crazy. So, you will be spending your time getting in and out and looking for parking and your money paying for parking if you can find it. I am letting you know this, so that you know what went into planning and preparing for this event.
If you wish to change your current accommodation and stay at Bahia's hotel, I recommend you do so ASAP because I am trying to get rid of these rooms as fast as i can. Please use the attached form.
If you or your unit/club is planning to attend imperial and/or participate in the parade, please let us know so we can let the appropriate people know. At this point, i am NOT planning a Bahia Dinner or other get together at imperial since I only know of 4 nobles attending based on hotel stays. I will also be making other arrangements for our hospitality room for the same reason.
If you have any questions regarding this, please ask.
Join us on June 22nd for St. John’s Day at Winter Park Lodge No. 239. This will be our 63rd Annual St. John’s Day Breakfast and we’re going to have a blast.
